Managing Director

Chris has over 40 years’ experience in delivering large scale and complex building projects. Chris’s knowledge across all sectors of the building industry brings expertise, strength and balance to Cerretti’s development projects.

Steve Doran

Director

Steve is a registered Architect who has successfully run his own practice for over 30 years. This expertise offers a solid foundation for the Cerretti group of companies through an understanding of the practical design requirements and business management.

Patrick Daly

Director of Operations

Patrick has over 25 years’ experience across the construction industry, completing numerous large-scale public and private projects as both a Contractor and Project Manager. This unique perspective allows valuable insights into risk mitigation, value management, contracts, programming and buildability.

Jack Doran

Development Manager

Jack has a background in Civil Engineering and has developed wealth of knowledge in planning, feasibility and approvals. Jack’s critical thinking and detailed knowledge of planning and approval parameters consistently allows Cerretti projects to achieve outcomes that shape the market and exceed expectations.

Andrew Holliday

Construction Manager

Andrew brings over 30 years of residential and commercial building experience to the Cerretti team. Andrew’s demonstrated construction knowledge, management skills and strong decision making helps shape our projects from initial design development, through planning and programming, into construction and handover to ensure stakeholders expectations are realised.

Our Company Heritage

Based in the Hunter Region of NSW, Cerretti has generational links to Newcastle’s Doran Group.

Both Managing Directors are the sons of the late Jack ‘Cerretti’ Doran of the Doran Group of companies.

Founded in 1927

The Dorans founded their business in 1927 in Wickham NSW. The company was focused on Major public institutional buildings in the 1930s and soon became leaders in this field.

1940's - 50's

The 1940s saw a revitalised connection with Doran-BHP with the construction of a large amenities building at BHP coal mines. In the 1950s the company was meeting the increasing demand for Industrial Warehousing in Newcastle.

1960's - 70's

The 1960s and 70s in the era when the regional shopping complex emerged, was the start of a continued and long-standing relationship with retailers such as Woolworths and Coles. Activity centred around church and school building projects, large warehouses and heavy engineering works.

1980's

In the 1980s the group was quick to recognise the feasibility of office developments in Newcastle. Considerable energies and expertise were invested in the construction of such major office-building projects such as the Harbourpark building, Network House, Newcastle Permanent Building Society Head Office and stages one and two of the Harbourpark Centre complex. Doran companies were key instigators of Newcastle’s Harbour Foreshore development.

Today

Into the 21st century from 2010, Cerretti has emerged as a property development firm that continues the family tradition of investing in and developing property projects for the local community.
